In February 1956, actress and Jamestown native Lucille Ball and her husband, Desi Arnaz, arrived in town for the premiere of their MGM movie, “Forever Darling.” Thanks to a video archived on YouTube, one can see the helicopter that carries the iconic couple hovering over the old football field behind Jamestown High. There was a little boy in the crowd that greeted the famous couple. He had become separated from his parents. The boy went over to a JPD officer. The officer asked the child, "What do you want?" The boy replied, "Fweedom". That young boy was me.
